Hey y'all! Like I mentioned on the Home page, my name is Sydney Brooks and I'm the creative hands behind Hand Lettering by Sydney. I taught myself how to do this "modern calligraphy" in April 2018 during a 5 month break between finishing my Bachelors degree and starting my Masters degree. A year later, in April 2019, I decided to try to sell some of my hand-lettered pieces and turn this hobby into a small business.

 

I'm from small town in NC about 30 minutes outside of Charlotte. I'm a full time graduate student finishing up my Master's in Occupational Therapy. I hope to continue to grow this business and continue doing this once I have my full time OT job.  In my free time I enjoy playing with my pup, spending time with my family and boyfriend, hanging out with friends, working out, going to church, and working with a sweet special needs girl. These are some of my favorite things and what makes me who I am.

Since I'm a relatively new business, I'm still learning so much. I love when people come to me with an idea or a picture and ask me to figure out how to make it come to life for them! I create a variety of things from quotes on card stock/wood, signage for weddings, envelope addressing, place cards, etc. Please bring me any ideas you have and I would love to work with you to make it happen!
